Lincoln Township Board
10 December 2007

Supervisor Ringley called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

Pledge of Allegiance.

Roll call present were Galloway, Branam, Ringley and Majewski. Absent – West. Also present were Lakes Dir. Carey, Fire Chief Majewski, Building Insp. Mantei, County Commissioners Grim and Lockmiller, County Admin. Bill Newkirk, Farwell Village Pres. Grim and 11 other interested persons.

Motion by Galloway to pay the monthly bills, second by Branam, roll call vote, 4 yeas, 1 absent, motion carried.

Ringley read correspondence from Attorney Dreyer regarding the letter from the Howell attorney, Mr. Madar.

Ringley read the letter from Kim Hamilton regarding his resignation from the Zoning Board of Appeals.

Motion by Galloway to accept the resignation of Kim Hamilton from the Zoning Board of Appeals, effective at the close of the scheduled 03 January 2008 meeting, second by Ringley, all in favor, motion carried.

Ringley read a thank you card from the Lake of the Pines Villa regarding the reward offered leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the recent arson fires at Lake of the Pines.

Motion by Ringley to approve a fire fund expenditure of $460.00 for the purpose of replacing the scene light on E-1, second by Galloway, all in favor, motion carried.

Motion by Ringley to approve a fire fund expenditure of $130.00 plus mileage for the purpose of the fire chief attending an 8 hour Hazmat refresher course, second by Galloway, all in favor, motion carried.

The board will hold a work session on 14 January 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at the township hall.

Roger Carey reported that he is working on arranging recycling for the shrink wrap that is commonly used to cover water craft for winter storage.

Motion by Branam to officially close the township hall on all major holidays (New Years Eve and Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day) second by Ringley, all in favor, motion carried.

Motion by Branam to adjourn the meeting, second by Galloway, all in favor, meeting adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
