Lincoln Township Board
14 December 2009
Supervisor Zimmerman called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll call present were; Zimmerman, Tobin, Hardin, Carey and Majewski. Also
present were; Lks. Dir. Carey, Fire Chief Majewski, Build. Insp. Mantei, Zoning
Admn. Lambert, Road Comm. Eng. Stocking, Commissioners Grim and Lockmiller,
Sheriff’s Deputy, Farwell Village Pres. Grim and 9 other interested persons.
Minutes of the 9 Nov. 2009 meeting accepted as presented.
Treasurer’s report was approved as presented.
Motion by Tobin to pay the monthly bills, second by Hardin, roll call vote, all
in favor, motion carried.
Commissioner Grim reported that the County Administrator/Controller Newkirk will
reduce his hours to 3 days a week and that Tracy Byard will now do the
Administrator duties. The county has hired a new payroll clerk.
Stocking reported that Old State Rd. will not be a salt route as previously
reported. The salt will be to the overpass and the rest will be brined when
conditions allow. There was discussion regarding the condition of the roads in
the Silver Lake area, most notably the hole at Silver Lake Dr. and Browns Rd.
The situation will be evaluated for repair when the weather warms up. Carey
asked if the schedule for starting the Downtown Enhancement project is still
expected in March with a finish time of July and Stocking said that there
haven’t been any changes to the schedule, but with all the stimulus money
projects needing to be finished, it is possible the schedule will be affected.
County Building Insp. Albert Esser explained that the previous building dept.
administration had left a large number of permits that never received final
inspection. Esser’s department is now in the process of cleaning up the records
and making sure that all projects needing final inspections get them. Esser also
explained that contractors will need to be Certified Renovators by April 22,
2010. Esser will have information on classes for the certification up on the
county web site as soon as it is available.
Chief Majewski reported that fire Englehardt and Peacock have passed the Medical
First Responders Class.
There were 19 rescue related runs for the month of November, 307 year to date.
Motion by Hardin to adjourn the meeting, second by Carey, all in favor, meeting
adjourned.
