Lincoln Township Board

Supervisor Zimmerman called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m.

Board members present were, Zimmerman, Majewski, Carey, Hardin. Tobin was absent - excused. Also present was Steve Stocking, Connie Houk, Henry Deimer, John and Cindy Englehardt and Gary Szczepanski.

Deimer presented a revised drawing. There were several questions about location of utility poles, natural gas lines, and sidewalk size.

Deimer explained that the new road will have two 12 foot traffic lanes, which are about 11 ft. currently. There will be 9 ft. for parking and then D curb, which has a roll to it, followed by 3 ft. of green space, except for the 4 areas of perpendicular parking (Lake George Groc., Depot, Fairchild Green, Swiss Inn). There will be no parking in the area of the RR Right of Way. No sidewalk on the East side of the road except for purposes of crosswalks and ADA ramp.

Zimmerman expressed concern about encroaching on the bar and store property.

The meeting moved on to the enhancements. Lighting, benches, trash receptacles, signs, sign posts and trees were discussed and chosen. Connie will be making a perspective drawing that includes our chosen items.

Deimer explained that the time frame for the project is letting in July with construction beginning in August. The project should take about 8 weeks.

Zimmerman expressed concern about draining runoff directly in to Lake George. He recommends that the old CCC drain be found and used.

Representatives from Wilcox as well as Stocking will be meeting with the MDNRE on March 1st regarding the drainage.

Motion by Hardin to adjourn the meeting, second by Majewski, all in favor, meeting adjourned at 3:50 p.m.
