Lincoln Township Board
13 April, 2009
Supervisor Zimmerman called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll call present were Zimmerman, Tobin, Hardin, Carey and Majewski. Also
present were Lakes Dir. Carey, Fire Chief Majewski, Building Insp. Mantei,
Zoning Admin. Lambert, Sheriff Dep. Passino, Fire Lt. Green, County Comm.
Lockmiller and 14 other interested persons.
Minutes of the 09 March 2009 Meeting w/Dreyer approved as read.
Minutes of the 16 March 2009 regular meeting approved as read.
Treasurer’s report accepted as presented.
Motion by Hardin to pay the monthly bills, second by Tobin, roll call vote, all
in favor, motion carried.
Motion by Zimmerman to approve the application of Donald Harpster to the fire
dept. pending physical and background, second by Hardin, all in favor, motion
carried.
Roger Carey asked if shrink wraps for recycling could be collected at the
compost site again this year. The board approved by consensus.
Motion by Zimmerman to appoint Jacobs Hopkins to the Board of Review, second by
Hardin, all in favor, motion carried.
Motion by Zimmerman to approve a general fund expenditure of $50.00 for the
purpose of purchasing flags for the veteran graves, second by Tobin, all in
favor, motion carried.
Motion by Zimmerman to approve a general fund expenditure of $75.00 each for two
porta johns to be placed at the Shingle Lake Park for the summer season, second
by Hardin, all in favor, motion carried.
Motion by Carey to approve the lawn maintenance bid from Elm Creek Lawn and
Landscape, $153.50 per mow, and $153.50 each for spring and fall clean up at the
Lincoln Township Cemetery, second by Hardin, all in favor, motion carried.
The board reviewed the bids submitted for the downtown property.
Davis bid $2090.00 for part of lot 16.
Trommater bid $2023.00 for part of lot 15.
West bid $22340.00 for all nine parcels, plus closing costs.
Zimmerman inquired to West if she would consider reducing her bid by the minimum
required for lots 16 and 15 so that Davis and Trommater would be able to
purchase those lots. She said she would.
Motion by Zimmerman to accept the bid from Davis of $2090.00 for part of lot 16
in block 3, to accept the bid from Trommater of $2023.00 for part of lot 15 in
block 3, and to accept the bid from West, amended to $18760.00 for part of lots
14, 17, and 24 and lots 27, 28, 29, and 30 in block 3, all bids shall be plus
closing costs, second by Tobin, roll call vote, 5 yeas, motion carried.
Motion by Hardin to adjourn the meeting, second by Tobin, all in favor, meeting
adjourned at 8:55 p.m.
