Regular Meeting
Lincoln Township Board
11 June, 2007

Supervisor Ringley called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

Roll call present were, Ringley, Branam, Galloway, West, Majewski. Also present were Assessor Goeman,
Sexton Smith, County Commissioners Grim and Lockmiller, Fire Chief Majewski, FF Bury, Lakes Dir. Carey, Building Insp. Mantei, Zoning Admin. Lambert, ZBA Chairman Hamilton, Planning Sec. Chapman,
Farwell Village Pres. Grim, Road Comm. Engineer Stocking and 12 other interested persons.

Minutes from the 14 May regular meeting accepted as presented.
Minutes from the 14 May closed session approved as reviewed by the board.

Treasurer’s report was accepted as presented.

Motion by Galloway to pay the monthly bills, second by Branam, roll call vote, 5 yeas, motion carried.

Chief Majewski read the fire dept. meeting minutes from 21 May and 4 June 2007 and announced the retirement of Jerry Galloway from the fire dept.

With several members of the fire dept. present, Asst. Chief Cogswell presented Jerry Galloway with a plaque commemorating his 12 years of service on the department

There were 23 rescue, 2 mutual aid, 1 fire and 1 power line related runs for the month of May.

Motion by Branam to approve a fire fund expenditure of $850.00 for the purpose of FIT testing the fire fighters, second by Galloway, all in favor, motion carried.

Motion by West to allow those fire and rescue personnel who will be on duty at the Countryfest in Farwell to utilize their equipment as necessary, second by Galloway, all in favor, motion carried.

Motion by Branam to appoint Dale Majewski, John Meister, Bryan Meister, Gary Harms, Fred Withcell and Marv Frayer to perform fire/rescue duties as necessary at the Countryfest and Rockfest held in Farwell in June/July 2007, second by Galloway, all in favor, motion carried.

Motion by West to approve rounding the CPI, 3.3% wage increases up to the nearest half or one dollar, second by Galloway, all in favor, motion carried.

Motion by Galloway to place two privies at the Hamlin Field for ball tournament weekend, second by Ringley, all in favor, motion carried.

Motion by Branam to renew the Assessor Contract with G&G Appraisals for 2 years, including an increase to $2500.00 per month (approximately the cost of living for 2006 and 2007) second by West, all in favor, motion carried.

Motion by Galloway to accept the resignation of Ken Osborn Sr. from the planning commission, second by Ringley, all in favor, motion carried.

Ringley mentioned that there has been a petition received to dredge the canal on Lake George.

Ringley opened the floor for public comment, there was none offered.

Motion by Majewski to adjourn to closed session at 9:07 p.m., second by Ringley, roll call vote, all in favor, motion carried.

Motion by Branam to reconvene the regular meeting at 9:21 p.m., second by Galloway, all in favor, meeting continued.

Motion by West to approve that the township will put an offer in on 2 parcels of land, second by Galloway, roll call vote, all in favor, motion carried.

Motion by West to list the two Bertha Lake lots with Fairchild and Green Realty at their recommended listing price, for 6 months, second by Galloway, roll call vote, all in favor, motion carried.

Motion by Branam to adjourn the meeting, second by Ringley, all in favor, meeting adjourned at 9:25 p.m.
