Kilbourn Cemetery

The smaller of the two, Kilbourn Cemetery, was a private cemetery abandoned by the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ownership was assumed by Lincoln Township and the cemetery is maintained out of respect for those who are interred there.  The Kilbourn cemetery is located on Jackson Ave. between Browns and Adams Rd. It’s on the right (west) hand side--closer to Adams than Browns.  You will miss it if you aren’t looking. You’ll see the two little headstones. Be careful, it usually has quite a bit of poison ivy. Wear your long pants!  Leave a penny on the Kilbourn headstone, it’s a long standing tradition.
