Weekly CURBSIDE Yard Waste
PICK-UP Service:
Thursday, October 22nd and will end Thursday, December 3rd
if weather allows.
Preparation:
Please place grass and leaf yard waste in locally sold paper compost bags or
utilize trash cans free of litter and water for American Waste to empty and
leave at your curb. Please keep yard waste dry and light as possible. Bags or
containers cannot exceed 30 pounds. Bundled brush will be collected as long as
no branches exceed 2 inches in diameter.
Important:
You need to have your yard waste at the curb on or before your trash collection
day prior to the truck collecting your trash. American Sanitation requires this
so they know where to send the trucks each week.
OR
You may
also haul yard waste directly to the compost site effective immediately and
until further notice later this fall. (2 Options)
OPTION 1: Residents can take
compost directly to the compost site located on Arthur Road just east of, and
across the road from the Church. The hours of operation will be Wednesday,
Friday, and Sunday from 9.00 am to Noon.
OPTION 2: Obtain a Key. Contact
a Township Board Member or a Maintenance employee to borrow a key for the gate.
Please plan ahead to the extent possible when making these arrangements during
normal business hours and on the days the site is closed.
Please do not leave any trash or
containers behind at this site.
NO
STUMPS or LOGS please.
Also, there is two large piles of FREE compost material on site for
Township residents to use. PLEASE place brush in the pit.
