LINCOLN TOWNSHIP COMPOST FIELD AND
RECYCLE BINS

The Compost Field is open Wednesday, Friday and Sunday 9:00 am to Noon, April 1st through Nov. 30th. (unless there is snow – then it could close for the season earlier).

The Recycle Bins are located inside the Compost Field gate. The Bins are accessible during regular compost hours, or folks can walk in at any time. NOTE: The Recycle Bins are available for township residents only.

The compost field is located on Arthur Road just east of, and across the road from the Church.

Leaves and grass clippings either in the brown paper leaf bags or loose. NO PLASTIC BAGS!

Brush in the pit. No logs or limbs bigger than 2 inches diameter.

No household refuse, tires, appliances, car parts, planters etc…

Free compost when available.

The compost generated at the Lincoln Township Compost Site primarily contains:

  • Lawn clippings, leaves, pine needles and lake weeds.
  • It may contain non organic materials such as glass, plastic, paper and metal.
  • The compost generated at the Lincoln Township Compost Site is not screened and may contain other contaminants not listed.
  • This compost should only be applied to soil as needed.
  • You are removing compost from this site at your own risk.
  • You are using this compost at your own risk.
  • You may view testing results here. (coming soon)
