The Planning Commission meets on the first Tuesday (after the second Monday)
each month
at 7:00 PM at the Township Hall located at 175 Lake George Ave., Lake George,
Michigan.

The Lincoln Township Planning Commission
consists of five (5) members who are appointed by the Supervisor with
approval of the Township Board. Terms are staggered three (3) year terms,
except for the ex offio member, whose term expires with his or her term on
the township board.
The Planning Commission advises township officials in matters of planning
and development of the community, prepares plans, and makes
recommendations for land-use and the environment.
The roles and responsibilities of the Lincoln Township Planning Commission
include, but are not limited to:
Development of the Lincoln Township Master Plan. The
Master Plan is
reviewed and updated by the Planning Commission no less than every five
(5) years.
Development of the Lincoln Township Recreation Plan. The Recreation Plan
is reviewed and updated by the Planning Commission no less than every five
(5) years.
Take action on petitions, staff proposals and township board requests for
amendments to the
Lincoln Township Zoning Ordinance as required.
Review and make recommendations of all rezoning requests: Rezoning
requests include both text and map change requests.
Review all requests for new development with the Township through the site
plan review process.
Prepare and update
bylaws as needed. |
